What does your daily relationship with God look like?

Jesus starts my day. Each day I make time to pray, study and meditate on the Word of God. I place my trust in Him to protect me and to help me act according to His will, what’s best for me, and His plans for me. I replace unhealthy thoughts with healthy ones by being aware of those thoughts. After seeking His face I move by faith. I choose to follow His guidance even if I don’t understand it, because with Him I’ll end up in a better place with a better story than I ever could on my own. I depend on the Holy Spirit to fill my soul and empower me to live a life that pleases God.

How do you find peace?

Through prayer, meditation on the Word. I take a walk or go to the beach and either listen to music or just quietly take in the beauty of His works.

We hear the word ‘balance’ thrown around a lot, what does it mean to you?

Balance to me means that in all I do, I can still pray during the day, spend time with family, and fellowship with other believers. [It means] To have wholeness, completeness, and contentment.

How do we make sure that while working on our personal brands, we represent Jesus Christ well?

There’s a voice in our presence. Jesus served. He taught. He saved. That’s what I call The Brand of Christ. We represent Christ as salt and light. We must add value to others by serving.  We are to impact the world and be change agents and to do that, God wants us to grow, stretch, learn, relearn, package, and build up ourselves. Our personal brand is what people say about us when we are not in the room.

What has surprised you the most about this journey?
The revelation of the works God does through me. When I hear people say to me “you are gifted, or good at what you do”, I know it’s not me but God. I have deep gratitude to God for choosing me worthy for the continuous learning, living, and leading this life He gave me. There are opportunities and challenges and seeing every part as a gift has been an important part of how I live my life.

What have you learned about yourself?
I have realized how important it is to take care of myself. To learn, relearn, and develop myself if I want to help others. In order to love my neighbor, I need to love God, myself first. It’s important that I pour from a full cup so help me God!

Can you share a scripture that is feeding your spirit right now and why?
The scripture feeding me right now is found in Proverbs 4:7 “Wisdom is a principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all your getting get understanding.”

A soul without wisdom and grace is a dead soul. Whilst we labor for other things, we shouldn’t neglect understanding. We need understanding, hope, and Christ, this way we live life in abundance as children of God. Wisdom, knowledge, and understanding empowers!
